Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Key Responsibilities

• Design and layout of Fire Alarm and Integrated Security Systems.
• Prepare project drawings, specifications, and schematics required to support the installation of fire alarm and integrated security systems.
• Provide written, detailed, site-specific scopes of work for the installing contractor.
• Maintain project drawing files, associate records, and documentation tracking.
• Timely completion and processing of required paperwork.
• Provide direction and support to project coordinators and field technicians.
• Provide technical assistance to the sales team in the analysis and interpretation of job documents and code requirements during the design, estimating and proposal phase.
• Work with sales, operations, and staff to interpret specific project specifications, drawings, and system layout.
• Design systems that are within the scope of work as outlined in the sales contracts.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management is preferred.
• Three years’ experience with low voltage design, security industry preferred.
• Installation experience with low-voltage systems, security industry preferred.
• Ability to read and understand building floor plans and schematics.
• Analytical with good problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of PC’s and Windows software.

Work Requirements:

• Position may require site visits as needed for projects.
• Position may require travel with overnight stay.
