About the role:
As the Central Station Manager, you’ll oversee daily operations of our state-of-the-art Central Station, ensuring our team delivers top-tier performance and adheres to company standards. Your role will be vital in maintaining seamless operations, supporting shift supervisors, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Due to the nature of our 24/7/365 model, this position is expected to be available outside of regular business hours.

What you'll do:

  • Provide management and oversight of the Central Station department.
  • Responsible for supporting the shift supervisors to ensure accuracy and adherence to departmental and company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and delivering departmental training programs to ensure direct reports receive departmental orientation and necessary on-the-job training.
  • Assist shift supervisors in identifying training and development needs of direct reports.
  • Monitor the performance of direct reports and provide regular coaching and counseling.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering salary and performance reviews of direct reports.
  • Partner with Human Resources to assist in the handling of all employment decisions.
  • Assist in the interview and selection of qualified personnel. Recommend personnel actions.
  • Ability to assist the Director of Technical Services in various special projects.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a Central Station or similar high-pressure, 24/7 operations environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Security, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate teams, including shift supervisors and front-line employees, in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
  • Experience in training development, coaching, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle personnel decisions, including hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating across departments and with senior leadership.
  • Willingness to be available outside of regular business hours to support a 24/7/365 operation.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • Experience ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining operational standards, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for team-building, conflict resolution, and fostering a collaborative culture.

Work Requirements:
The position is considered sedentary and requires extended periods of PC exposure. Due to the nature of our 24/7/365 model, this position is expected to be available outside of regular business hours.
